This classic paper airplane is the paper airplane most people imagine when they think of a paper airplane. You probably already know how to fold this airplane so it should make an easy place to start learning how to follow HobbyCaptain paper airplane patterns.
If you have never used a HobbyCaptain paper airplane pattern, I recommend you start with this plane to get the hang of using the pattern.

- Print the attached PDF
- The print needs to be at full scale (may be called “actual size” or “custom scale 100%”)
- Set print orientation to portrait / landscape
- Fold along the lines in order as they are numbered.
- Fold line 1 then unfold it to create a center crease. Fold it again in step 4 and leave it folded.
- Line 5 is a reverse fold, it makes the wings. Fold the second wing to match the first.
- Crinkle the back of the wings up just a bit, this will help hold the nose up in flight
Try making some modifications to your plane you can: fold the tip into the body of the plane; cut some ailerons; or fold up the wing tips to make vertical stabilizers.
