  • On my printer this is either “actual size” or “Custom Scale” can be set to 100%
    • Your printer may call it something else
    • The PDF provided on this page has lines at the bottom
      • Measure either line it should be exactly 1in or 3cm depending on the line that you chose to measure
    • Make sure Portrait or Landscape is correctly selected, usually setting the selection to “Auto”  will select the correct orientation
    • The paper size is 8.5 x 11in
    • Check the preview to make sure that everything looks correct before printing

Fold along the provided lines in numeric order. Fold #1 first, #2 second and so on.  Treat the lines as a reminder for what the fold should be. The lines are usually trying to get the paper to line up in some way for. For example a crease down the middle is made by lining up both edges of the paper.

  • There are 5 usual line types the PDF shows each of these lines and explains what they are
    • Crease: Will have 2 numbers, fold then unfold on the first number then fold and keep folded on the second number, the line needs to be on the outside of the fold
    • Reverse Crease: Has the same rules as a crease except that the line needs to be on the inside of the fold
    • Fold: fold along the line, the line needs to be on the outside of the fold
    • Reverse Fold: fold along the line, the line needs to on the inside of the fold

Not all lines will run the entire length of the paper,  especially after a few folds have been made. Fold these lines all the way across the plane.

Evey pattern is different and some are more challenging than others, if you mess up try to figure it out, you can always print another and try again.

Go fly your plane!
